I have been in a really good mood lately. This is because one of my favourite Alberta craft breweries is opening up a location close by in Calgary. I’m sure that some of you have already guessed that I am talking about Bearhill Brewing Company’s Last Best Brewing & Distilling. OC Beerfest #10 Browning Street

Spring is here and with it comes nicer weather, greener landscapes & not having to wear 20 pounds of clothes when you go outside! But there’s something else that comes with this change of season, something that beer geeks like me get even more excited about. Beerfest! We are less than a month away from the 2014 Calgary International Beer Festival, a celebration of all things beer in the Calgary and surrounding area. If you attended last year, you’ll know how busy and exciting the festivities were. More Wild Rose in Wild Rose Country

Wild Rose Country is seeing some big changes in their craft beer scene. For instance, Wild Rose Brewing Company (the first Alberta microbrewery that I fell for) has made some major moves recently. They opened up a new brewery, launched a different marketing campaign and of course, brewed more new beers for us to taste. Ya, 2014 is shaping up to be a good year for us Alberta craft beer hounds.
