Two Casks, a Pig and an Oompah Band

Well it’s that time of year again. Break out those lederhosens & dirndls and get set to party like it’s 19th Century Bavaria because the 2nd Annual Calgary Oktoberfest is almost here! My destination for the night was The Libertine Public House who were throwing a craft beer cask ale event that I couldn’t pass up. When The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company is involved I tend to show up!

Stephens Avenue

Luckily, Calgary has a bunch of pubs serving quality craft beer on tap. I recently went to the The Pig & Duke for a meal and a couple of pints and this neighbourhood pub is exactly the kind of local hang out that I look for.
