I really enjoy strolling down the pedestrians only section of Stephens Avenue and looking at all of the people out there enjoying the scene. My destination for the night was The Libertine Public House who were throwing a craft beer cask ale event that I couldn’t pass up. When The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company is involved I tend to show up!
Stephens Ave is a pleasure to walk down, especially when your destination serves fresh craft beer!
I find it amazing how the BMO Centre changes its appearance so often. It looks different every time I’m there. Last weekend the hall was decked out for the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival. I could see an abundance of wine, spirits & craft beer stalls scattered cross the area along with some great food to pair with your beverage of choice. Basically, the stage was set for some intense flavour exploration!
Two amazing Alberta Craft Breweries: Hog’s Head & Grizzly Paw pouring next to each other.
While in the car on my way to the Kananaskis Craft Beer Fest my spirits were exceptionally high. How could I not be in a good mood when I know that I am about to sample some great Alberta craft beer while enjoying this incredible scenery? There is something about the Rockies that just makes me happy to be in Alberta. They can keep all of the sandy beaches and tropical weather because my heart belongs in the mountains.
The drive alone is incredible! Kananaskis Country scenery from the car.
The Germans know what they are doing when it comes to celebrating beer, sausages and lively oompah bands. I attended Calgary’s first Oktoberfest festivities this past weekend and I’d have to say that Alberta Beer Festivals would have made King Ludwig I proud.
